Welcome Fall with Decorating Ideas, Flowers & Gifts

Fall arrives on September 22nd officially, but, at our Finger Lakes flower shops, we are ready with our fall collection. Our floral design teams have come up with new floral designs, many of which are based on some of the latest floral trends we see across the country and in and around Rochester. Calming Flowers The last year and a half has been quite stressful and there may be ongoing anxiety and concern as COVID continues. Mental and physical well-being are becoming increasingly important as a way to address these worries. Flowers can provide a calming effect, which can help soothe those stressful thoughts. Bright Hues However, fall also brings out the bold colors, including deep orange and yellow hues. Everyone could use a punch of color in their homes after recent home color trends have focused on white and grey. That means adding firecracker orange, goldenrod, and other bold colors. Examples include marigolds, hibiscus, zinnias, and others. Monochromatic Jewel Bouquets Fall isn't just about brown, orange, and yellow. This season, there are many bouquets with ruby, jade, sapphire, amethyst, and more. This provides more color variety throughout the fall season beyond the traditional looks everyone thinks of for the fall holidays, creating elegant looks even for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Dramatic Floral Designs Another floral trend this fall is oversized designs that include tall arrangements that make a statement. These grand floral designs are often situated in an entry hall or foyer or in the center of a large dining table. It is best to only feature these dramatic floral designs in a larger space where there is room to give such a floral design the attention it deserves.
